WORSHIP THE TRUE JESUS

Posted by Joetta Smith on January 26, 2012 at 8:00 AM

One problem that seems to always confuse believers is the message of Good Friday.  WAS Jesus Christ crucified on Friday?  If so, then was Jesus a liar?  Didn't He know the difference between 3 days and 3 nights and two nights and one day?  Didn't He, as very God, say He is not the author of confusion?  Yet, this perplexes millions of Christians!'

There are many scriptures to PROVE that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, the Lamb of God, WAS crucified on the Passover, the Jewish Passover, and NOT two days later as the Catholic Church would have us believe.

In Matthew 12:38-40 Jesus tells us in His own words that He would give only ONE sign and that was of the Prophet Jo-nas.  As he was in the belly of the whale for 3 days and 3 nights so He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.  This is very clear and God is NOT a liar.

Just to quickly give one scripture to clear up this confusion we can go to John 19:31 The Jews therefore because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day (for that sabbath was an high day), besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

At first glance it seems that it was the weekly preparation day which precedes the weekly sabbath.  But that was not the case.  A sabbath that is a high day is a YEARLY sabbath and is preceded by a preparation day just as is a weekly sabbath.  Jesus Christ was the Passover Lamb which was sacrificed to take away the sins of the world.  He was crucified ON the Passover which was on Wednesday.  God's days begin and end at sunset.  The preparation day was from Tuesday at sunset until Wednesday at sunset.  The passover was on the preparation day.  The yearly sabbath (the high sabbath) fell on Thursday which began at sunset on Wednesday and ended at sunset on Thursday.  The weekly preparation day was from Thursday sunset until Friday at sunset which then began the weekly sabbath  and it ended at sunset on Saturday which began the first day of the week!!  So, you can count from Wednesday night, Thursday day, Thursday night, Frday day, Friday night, Saturday day until sunset and Jesus rose on the first day of the week which began at sunset on Saturday not at sunrise on Sunday which was Easter which was the pagan worship of the Queen of heaven.  You can easily prove this by checking it out for yourself on the web.  All in all you see Jesus Christ WAS in the grave for three full days and three full nights and rose on the third day at sunset..

To worship in spirit and in truth you must worship from a sincere heart and to worship in truth you must worship according to the dictates of the Word of God, not the tradition of men....hence Good Friday...if you are worshiping a Jesus that was crucified on Good Friday then you are worshiping another Jesus.  We always want to start from this truth as presented in the Bible, not as presented by the Catholic Church or any other idea of men.

Treasure Keepers Kenya shows the truth and the value of the Word of God, the true treasure that we have in earthen vessels.  Please feel free to ask any questions.  Please prove all things for yourself....it isn't about believing ME, it is about knowing and believing the Word of God.
